The Göteborg Opera is receiving applications for

Flute, co-principal

With main responsibility for Alto flute and partial obligation to play Piccolo*

to Göteborg Opera Orchestra. This is a permanent full-time position with initial trial period starting in autumn 2026 or according to agreement.

* The co-principal flute is required to play 2nd piccola. Also required to play 1st piccolo in single instrument musicals or other single instrument works that contain piccolo of a simpler nature.

Audition 18-19 May 2026 at Gothenburg Opera

Compulsory pieces:
W.A. Mozart: Flute concerto no 1 or 2, 1st movement without cadenza.
G. Enescu: Cantabile et presto
