The Göteborg Opera’s vision is to be one of the leading opera houses in Northern Europe. We work with a broad repertoire of opera, dance, musicals and concerts. GöteborgsOperan AB is a publicly-owned company in the Västra Götaland region with around 500 employees. In total around 350 shows are staged per year for around 250 000 visitors to the Main Stage, Small Stage and throughout the region. We have a turnover of around 500 million SEK. The Göteborg Opera is a diverse workplace with roughly the same number of male and female employees. The orchestra has 86 members.

The Göteborg Opera is looking for Co-Principal Trombone with obligation to alto trombone, 
starting autumn 2022.

Audition round 1 is taking part through Youtube links up until 31st of january.

Recording quality at least 720p, Mpeg4. Each video is to be recorded, full body visible, in one take, without cuts or adjustments.

Link 1: F. David: Trombone concertino op.4. 1st movement without cadenza. Please note: this should be recorded without piano accompaniment.

Link 2: Orchestral exerpts no 1-3 from attached list.

2nd - 4th round of the audition will take place at GöteborgsOperan, 28th of february, in accordance with current Covid-19 restrictions that may apply.

Compulsory pieces following rounds: Orchestral exerpts and ensembles from attached list.

Deadline for application 31st of january.
